Aniplex Confirms Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai Sequel

Aniplex announced the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai anime sequel during its Online Fest 2022.

A teaser trailer accompanying the announcement confirmed Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Girl would be consolidated into one anime adaptation. CloverWorks will produce the sequel, based on the 8th and 9th light novels from author Hajime Kamoshida’s Seishun Buta Yarō series, with Sōichi Masui returning to direct. The additional creative crew returning for the sequels are Masahiro Yokotani, who will handle composition and the script, and Satomi Tamura, who will work on character design.

Cast returning for the sequels include Kaito Ishikawa as Sakuta Azusagawa, Asami Seto as Mai Sakurajima, Yurika Kubo as Kaede Azusagawa, Nao Tōyama as Tome Koga, Atsumi Tanezaki as Rio Futaba, Maaya Uchida as Nodoka Toyohama and Inori Minase as Shōko Makinohara. All the voice talents have impressive, extensive résumés. Kaito Ishikawa previously voiced Genos in One Punch Man and Tobio Kageyama in Haikyu!!. Asami Seto’s notable roles are Chiyuki from Death Parade and Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen. Yurika Kubo played Hanayo Koizumi from Love Live! In addition to voice acting, she works as an idol and gravure model. Like Kubo, Nao Tōyama is a J-Pop idol with a booming voice acting career. Tōyama acts as the voice for Chiho Sasaki in The Devil Is a Part-Timer!! and Honami Ichinose in season 3 of Classroom of the Elite. Atsumi Tanezaki is best known for her role as Chise Hatori in The Ancient Magus’ Bride. Maaya Uchida is another J-Pop idol — however, she started as a voice actor. Her best-known roles are Norman from The Promised Neverland and Hiyori Iki in Noragami. Finally, Inori Minase is a voice actor/singer whose voice you might recognize from Is the Order a Rabbit??, in which she plays Chino Kafū.
