Jujutsu Kaisen Finally Reveals the Abilities of Its Last Great Sorcerer

Although she has been shrouded in mystery since her introduction, Jujutsu Kaisen just revealed the abilities of the series’ last incredibly strong sorcerer, and it makes the manga’s current fight all the more exciting. The manga’s highest class of sorcerers are known as Special Grade, and each is strong enough to overthrow a nation single-handedly. But while most of the series’ Special Grade sorcerers like Satoru Gojo and Yuta Okkotsu have been featured in fights showing off their powers, the last member of this elite group has kept her powers hidden until now.

Yuki Tsukumo was the friend of Gojo and Geto when they were students at Jujutsu High. Her experience as a Star Plasma vessel, one of the potential host bodies for Master Tengen, the ancient sorcerer at the center of the Jujutsu world, soured her opinion of Jujutsu society, and thus just like Gojo and Geto she is also largely anti-establishment. In fact, she was the one who inspired Geto’s plan to eradicate curses by exterminating non-sorcerers. While she did train fan favorite character Aoi Todo, she was largely absent from the manga until after the Shibuya Incident, the gravity of which forced her to help fight the evil mastermind Kenjaku. And now that she is confronting him directly in the latest chapter, she is finally showing why she has the title of Special Grade.
