Jujutsu Kaisen: Is Aoi Todo Strong Enough to Be a Special Grade Sorcerer?

As a grade 1 sorcerer, Aoi Todo is one of the strongest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. Todo is a third-year student at Kyoto Jujutsu High School, and possesses an interesting innate curse technique that allows him to change the course of a battle in an instant. In addition, Todo managed to become one of the strongest jujutsu sorcerers without coming from a curse hunting family.

Although he possesses an immense amount of cursed energy, Todo mostly relies on his physical prowess in battles. During Geto’s attack in Kyoto, he is said to have fought five Grade 1 spirits and one Special-Grade cursed spirit all by himself. If that wasn’t impressive enough, he actually fought against the Grade 1 spirits without using a cursed technique. The only time he had to use his technique was while fighting against the Special-Grade curse. Todo has faced off against many powerful threats — meaning, he may qualify for one of the highest-ranking positions a sorcerer can have.Todo’s innate cursed technique allows him to switch positions with any living or non-living creature within range with just a clap of his hands. This ability can change the course of a battle in a split second by continuously switching positions with others. His ability works best while fighting alongside other powerful sorcerers. Todo’s technique doesn’t require much cursed energy, so he can use it multiple times in a row. Although a clap is required to trigger the ability, he does not have to clap both of his hands specifically.
